The Sea Pines Forest Preserve

Visit the Sea Pines Shell Ring, a 4,000-year-old archaeological site that’s the oldest known site on Hilton Head. Stop by in spring and see the native flora in bloom at the Warner W. Plahs Wildflower Field near the lakes, explore the secluded forest on the boardwalk through the Vanishing Swamp, or view marshes and wildlife from a boardwalk at Old Lawton Rice Field. Finish it off with a picnic along the banks of Fishing Island.
