The excitement builds as the line-up begins at 9:30 a.m. Let your creativity shine because entries will be judged for their outstanding patriotism. Afterward, indulge in carnival games, engaging activities, and more, ensuring an unforgettable day for the whole family. Supplies are limited to the first 100 registered families, so arrive early to secure your spot and join the festivities that celebrate the true spirit of independence.

Salute from the Shore

If you plan to spend some of this summer holiday on the beach, you do not want to miss the Salute from Shore. This unique celebration involves a display of military aircraft flying in formation along the South Carolina Coastline, honoring the US armed forces. This tradition has been happening for over 10 years through volunteers. In 2023 the flyover will include two F-16s from the Saw Air Force Base and a C-17 from the Charleston Airforce Base. Their approximate arrival time to our Hilton Head Beaches is 1:31 pm, then 1:48 pm. Their times may change depending on weather and mechanical issues, so we suggest you arrive early and be patient.

HarbourFest

HarbourFest at Shelter Cove Harbour is hosting a special holiday on July 4^th! This evening-long event is full of fun, family entertainment, and activities. Enjoy live entertainment from singer-songwriter Shannon Tanner and Clappy the Clown. Your family can also enjoy arts & crafts, shopping, dining, carnival games, and other kid’s games. As the night winds down and the sun begins to set, a fireworks show will light up the sky and the water below into an epic patriotic display.

Beach Towels

Visiting one of the many beaches of Hilton Head Island is a must-do during your stay! That’s why we wanted to ease your packing list by including beach towels in your stay in one of our vacation rentals. We provide 8 luxury beach towels for homes and 4 for villas. That way you don’t need to worry about packing them!

Linens

When you arrive at one of our vacation rentals, we will ensure that the linens in the bedrooms and bathrooms are fresh and clean! Between each stay, we clean and replace all the linens. Upon arrival, each bed will be freshly made, and bathrooms fully stocked with bath towels and washcloths. We provide 2 bath towels and washcloths for every person that is registered to be sleeping on the property. Additionally, we will provide a sealed bag of clean linens for any properties that have a sleeper sofa or a Murphy bed.

Starter Amenities

To help get your stay started without a hitch, we supply our vacation rentals with a starter kit of amenities of household items. Each bathroom will be supplied with two rolls of toilet paper and a starter kick with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hand soap. In the Kitchen, we will stock it up with one paper towel roll, 3 dish detergent pods, 3 laundry pods, one sponge, liquid dish soap, and a few trash bags.

We invite you to bring your dog(s) to vacation at one of our properties labeled pet friendly. If you plan to bring your four-legged friend, pre-approval is needed at the time of booking, and we encourage you to read our pet policy below.

If a pet is found at a property not labeled pet-friendly or on-premises without advanced approval, guests will be charged $100 per night per pet of contracted rental agreement dates and be asked to vacate the property immediately without a refund.

Dog-Friendly Activities on Hilton Head

Hilton Head Dog-Friendly Beaches

Hilton Head is scattered with a variety of beaches that are dog friendly! Some of the most popular beaches are Burkes Beach, Alder Lane Beach Access, and Fish Haul Beach Park. During the summer months from the Friday before Memorial Day to Labor Day, dogs are not permitted on the beach between the hours of 10 am to 5 pm. Outside of this time, dogs are allowed on the beaches on a leash or under voice control.

Over the Spring and Fall. April 1^st to the Thursday before Memorial Day and Tuesday after Labor Day to September 30^th, you can bring your dogs on a leash anytime. If you are looking to bring your dog off leash and under voice control, you’ll have to do so in the mornings before 10 am or in the evenings after 5 pm. From October through May, you can bring your dog to the beach anytime on a leash or under voice control.

The dog leash regulations listed are not applicable to service dogs. Service dogs are allowed on the beaches anytime as long as they are leached.

If you do plan on bringing your dog to one of our Hilton Head Beaches, please be sure to pick up after your pet and properly dispose of any trash. Additionally, your dog is not permitted to swim in the designated swim areas of the beach.

Dog-friendly Restaurants on Hilton Head

We love bringing our dogs out with us to eat when the weather is nice, and the restaurant patios are open! It’s a great opportunity to get your dog out of your vacation rental with you. Some of our favorite Dog-Friendly restaurants include Skull Creek Boathouse, The Crazy Crab, Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks, and Frost Frog Café. Each of these delicious restaurants has an extensive outdoor seating area for you to relax and grab a bite to eat while Fido relaxes by your feet.

Brigantine Course

Brigantine Course is the shortest and newest course of the three Shipyard Golf Courses. Built and designed in 1982 by Willard C Byrd, this course requires shot-making and a good short game. As you play along this course, you can spot alligators sunning themselves along the water hazards. This course is only 9 holes, but it offers 4 tee positions to accommodate all levels of play.
